Less than a week after the UK Government publishes its Trade White Paper and continues its work on its Growth Review, the lead Government official will share some of the thinking of the UK Government as it seeks to consolidate and extend the UK’s growth in the future.
Martin is close to the heart of UK government economic policy. He has spent his career in the most senior levels in Whitehall. Martin will be able to provide the audience with an update on many aspects of British Government economic and trade policy, including the recently published Trade White Paper.

About the speaker:
Martin Donnelly joined the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills as Permanent Secretary in October 2010. Prior to this, he was acting Permanent Secretary at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) from May to August 2010, guiding the department through the first months of the new government. Martin has extensive economic and international experience. He joined the FCO Board in 2004 as Director General, Europe and Globalisation, where he was G8 foreign affairs sherpa. During his career, Martin has worked on policy across Whitehall and with key business stakeholders.
